2030s — The Archive Continues: Preserving AA History

The 2030s collection is our placeholder for the future — every new Grapevine cover from January 2030 forward will appear here automatically. The fellowship that began with an 8-page mimeograph in June 1944 now spans 180 countries, literature in over 100 languages, and digital meetings on every continent.

What Will the 2030s Hold?

Based on the last 90 years, we can expect continued evolution: more young people's stories, more voices from around the world, more discussion of technology and anonymity, mental health and medication, diversity and inclusion. The Grapevine has always mirrored AA's growth — from wartime paper rationing to two-color spot, to glossy perfect-bound, to app and podcast.

How This Archive Works

This page auto-detects any file you add to /images/aa_grapevines/ that matches 2030-01.jpg, 2030-02.jpg, etc. Drop a new cover in that folder and it appears here — no code change. Each cover is a timestamp for when slogans, design, and fellowship focus shifted.

Why Preserve?

Bill W. called the Grapevine "the mirror of our growth" and "our meeting in print." Preserving every cover preserves how AA learned to talk to itself — from "We’re Not Alone" in 1944 to today's global hybrid meetings. This 2030s page ensures the mirror continues.
